Before adjusting your ergonomic chair, ensure you are wearing your regular office shoes and maintain a natural seated posture. Your feet should be flat on the ground, and your arms should hang naturally with your elbows at around a 90-degree angle, ensuring they align comfortably with the desk height.

First, make sure your feet are flat on the ground, with the soles fully touching the floor. Your thighs and calves should form an approximate 90-degree angle, and your knees should be slightly below or level with your hips. After adjusting the chair height, your arms should hang naturally, with your elbows comfortably resting on the desktop or armrests, and your shoulders relaxed—avoid shrugging or slumping. Once adjusted, the seat cushion should not excessively press on your thighs, and your hips should be evenly supported. The overall sitting position should feel stable without any forward slippage or backward tilting.
Step 1: Sit on the chair with your feet flat on the floor. Check the relative height of your knees compared to your hips. If your knees are noticeably higher than your hips, the seat cushion is too low; if your feet can't touch the floor comfortably, the seat is too high.
Step 2: Adjust the seat height using the height knob or lever (depending on the chair model). Slowly adjust, checking after each small change to ensure your feet remain flat on the ground and your knees feel comfortable.
Step 3: Once the height is confirmed, place your elbows on the desk and check if your arms naturally align with the desk. If your arms are raised or excessively bent, you may need to adjust either the chair or the desk height.
Step 4: Finally, assess your overall seated posture. Ensure there are no areas of excessive pressure or floating sensations. Maintain a relaxed and comfortable position.
1.Avoid adjusting the seat height too high, which can cause your feet to dangle and put pressure on the thighs, affecting blood circulation. Similarly, avoid setting it too low, which may cause your knees to be overly bent, leading to lower back fatigue.
2.After long periods of sitting, it’s a good idea to reassess the height and posture, as your seated position can change subtly over time.
If multiple people share the same ergonomic chair, it's recommended to adjust the chair before each use to accommodate different heights and sitting habits.
3.Correctly adjusting your ergonomic office chair can significantly enhance your user experience and provide better health protection.
This is a key point repeatedly emphasized by professional ergonomic chair manufacturers, office chair factories, and mesh chair suppliers in their product design.
Good posture = efficient work + long-term comfort!
